Art on the internet: A webcamera transmits live from a location in Ramallah, Palestine. An electronic "filter" simulates "interference" in transmission, as if there is a bad connection. The use of the webcamera as a medium corresponds to the voyeuristic aspects of the television industry's reality genre. Using the internet, a "real time" situation in one location is transported and then "inserted" into another situation in a different venue. Supported by City of Bergen |
